Budding Nigerian fashion brand TwentySix recently released a very interesting editorial titled this collection Somewhere I belong, and from the look of the editorial, the inspiration behind these pieces and the whole set up must have been gotten from a romantic novel.
Uzoamaka Aniunoh models for the TwentySix brand and rather than your typical staid lookbook, the editorial captures these elements – fun, love, vibrancy and youth. The images are pretty poetic and flowing with the surroundings, thus helping the brand to achieve the vibe that it wants.
In the collection, you get a strong retro take, thanks to the infusion of the beret and other statement accessories. The white dress featured in the collection also resembles something that a 70’s Nigerian bride would wear. The Lookbook is certainly aesthetically pleasing as it makes you feel mesmerized and in need of a Micheal Bolton song to ease you into a pure state of romanticism.
A word from the brand:
We are exploring freedom, a sense of belonging and the adventurer in all of us with a mixture of photography and poetry.
