Colorful eyeliners seem to be taking a strategic position as a go-to for beauty enthusiasts. We’ve seen style stars opt for bold hues like red and orange, adding a dash of excitement to their face beats. Last week, Lori Harvey hopped on the train, resulting in an impressive result. She attended the New York Fashion Week decked in a blue bodysuit, matching scarf, and black tights, and continued the blue party with a blue eyeliner. The bold hue took a prominent spot on her top and bottom lids, bringing drama to her otherwise understated look.
Meanwhile, Tiwa Savage decided to shock the interwebs by ditching her preferred Blokecore aesthetic for a more feminine offering: a sensual orange dress. The African Bad Girl told the girly tale further with a neutral doll-up characterized by full brows, prominent lashes, and nude lipstick. Although simple, the barely-there look spoke volumes, reiterating the age-old saying that less can be more.
Hair
This year has seen a resurgence of old trends to the excitement of celebs and beauty enthusiasts. But, for some reason, it seemed as though the flashback refused to stretch beyond the 1950s. Alas, a change appears on the horizon as Jodie Turner-Smith decided to tap the roaring 1920s for inspiration last week. The model showed up to the JCrew’s 40th anniversary at NYFW in a sleek bob cut with chic bangs and flipped ends, reminiscent of the flapper era. Celebrity hair trends 2023.
