Each year, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announces entertainers who represent the best and brightest in the industry. Those select few are then honored with a coveted gold star displaying their name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. One of the latest actors revealed for the accolade is Chadwick Boseman. “The Selection Committee, which is made up of fellow Walk of Famers, carefully hand-picks a group of honorees each year that represent various genres of the entertainment world. The Committee did an amazing job choosing these very talented people. We can’t wait to see each honoree’s reaction as they realize that they are becoming a part of Hollywood’s history with the unveiling of their star on the world’s most famous walkway!” Chair and Walk of Famer Ellen K said in a statement posted to the organization’s official website on June 26.
Boseman will receive the 2024 posthumous honor in the Motion Pictures category. The remaining ranks include Television, Live Theatre/Live Performance, Radio, Recording, and Sports Entertainment. Other stars to be featured are Toni Braxton, Andre “Dr. Dre” Young, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Kerry Washington, Brandy Norwood, and more.

Afrobeats sensation Teni has teased a new single on social media. After a relatively quiet 2022, she returned in 2023 with a new single called “No Days Off”, which is a blend of Jersey music and Afrobeats. The single reminded listeners of Teni’s superlative ability to stretch the boundaries of her talent. The award-winning singer is set to release her second single of the year which she teased on her social media accounts. In the video, Teni was holding up her hair while singing along to a single that appears to be a hybrid of Jersey and Amapiano.
Teni, who has recently returned to social media, has been very vocal about her new sound which she boasts is better than what other artistes can craft. In an Instagram live video, the singer stated that all other artistes are sounding alike and she’s the only one who’s truly different. In a tweet, she also told her fans to get with the memo of her rebrand and join her on a new creative journey as the old Teni is gone. There’s no release date yet for the new single.

South Africans could not hold back their excitement after Hey Neighbour Festival announced Kendrick Lamar as the latest artiste to join the line-up. The 17-time Grammy winner, and a lyrical genius who will be the headline act on day two, joins the dynamic line-up alongside Swedish House Mafia, H.E.R., Khalid, and The Chainsmokers at one of Africa’s most eagerly anticipated music festivals. The festival is scheduled to run from December 8-10 at the Legends Adventure Farm in Pretoria.
With local artistes and more international acts to be announced, various ticket options that include accommodation and travel are almost sold out. Phase 1 weekend passes start at ($210) for general access and ($265) for the VIP experience. Phase 2 pricing is to be announced soon. Fans took to their timelines after the announcement about how they are anticipating watching the global star.

Drake has family ties in Memphis, and the international superstar recently received major recognition while visiting the southern city. On June 26, multiple Shelby County officials sang his praises while presenting him with an exclusive accolade: the key to the city. “We all know that Memphis music inspires the world, and Drake has definitely kept the spirit of the 901 in his art and acknowledges Memphis as a second home!” Mickell Lowery, Shelby County Commissioner of District 8, captioned an Instagram post.
In the upload, Lowery stood with the “Laugh Now Cry Later” artiste as he presented him with the key to the city. 5. Man City confirm £25m signing of Mateo Kovacic on four-year deal from Chelsea

Manchester City have signed Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea, the club has confirmed. The 29-year-old, who has won the Champions League four times in his career, signed a contract until 2027 and has reportedly cost the treble winners £25m (€29m/$31.8m). City are also said to be interested in Declan Rice and may look to pair the two in Pep Guardiola’s midfield.
Chelsea are attempting to trim their bloated squad ahead of Mauricio Pochettino starting work and have already seen Kalidou Koulibaly, N’Golo Kante, and Tiemoue Bakayoko leave thus far this summer, while Mason Mount is in talks with Manchester United and Arsenal intends to sign Kai Havertz.
