The Most Rave-worthy Designs From Paris Fashion Week Men SS24 Shows

One of the most prestigious fashion events of the year, the Paris Fashion Week Men’s Show, showcased some of the latest Spring/Summer 2024 collections from renowned fashion houses, emerging designers, and upcoming labels. The Paris Fashion Week 2024 commenced on June 20 and continued till June 25. As ever, the packed six-day schedule was an intriguing display of the fashion takes set to stir up the conversation.

Stand-out Designers…

Pharrell Williams made his debut as the creative director of Louis Vuitton menswear, which was one of the most anticipated fashion events of 2023. Pharrell paid homage to the legendary Louis Vuitton LV Damier checkerboard pattern in his first collection for the brand by showcasing a mesmerizing pixelated camo design in a variety of hues and shapes. The rest of the line featured eye-catching items including overcoats, dapper suits, metallic bombers, graphic shirts, co-ord sets, and more.

Dior Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 was a tribute to the brand’s recognizable shapes. In addition to loafers, the French fashion brand also presented overcoats and tweed blazers with its signature oblique patterns. On long-sleeved polos, fluorescent accents complemented these motifs. The pieces in the collection perfectly displayed Creative Director Kim Jones’ painstaking approach to tailoring and his skill at fusing formal suiting components with casual elements.

Men wore crochet shirts with bralettes in the SS24 line-up from Botter, which included pieces that were gender-neutral. The remainder of the line featured a variety of tank tops, polo shirts, coats, trousers, and bags made of materials that brought to mind Caribbean customs. Unique three-dimensional knitwear, classy white shirts with a smooth drape, bomber jackets, and fitted pieces were also included.

Nigo, the creative director of Kenzo, used a bridge over the Seine as the setting for his most recent collection. The tiny Passerelle Debilly footbridge reflected the carefree spirit that has so far characterized the Japanese designer’s time at the house. The poppy, preppy silhouettes and flamboyant use of color and print (such as the variety of floral themes that ran throughout and the collaboration with Japanese graphic artist Verdy) were reflections of the designer’s distinctive mélange of pop, funk, and boogie. Other items, like the judo uwagi kimono, which is depicted below as a chore jacket, “code switched” between Eastern and Western wardrobes.

Although it’s not the most innovative design, there has been a significant improvement in the way flowers are being incorporated. Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons added prints, but they didn’t stop there. They breathed new life into classic shirts by adding painted resin blooms to the front and pockets. Meanwhile, Dolce & Gabbana continued the blooming festival with boutonnieres on jackets and appliques wrapped around shirts and slacks.

This season, designers like MSGM, Etro, and JW Anderson pushed things up a level with a variety of dynamic prints, shimmering silk, and three-dimensional knits, expressing the pleasure in fashion in its purest form. Paris Fashion Week has always been recognized for being more expressive when it comes to hues.

As seen on the Loewe runway, elongated clothing has undoubtedly been a major trend for this season. Jonathan Anderson‘s collection of clothing, accessories, and luggage also featured monotone crystal embellishments. Despite the decline of the glittering Y2K fad, Anderson demonstrated that the tasteful usage of kitschy materials still has a place in the mainstream.

So without further ado, here’s a round-up of the best menswear collections we saw at Paris Fashion Week 2024. Paris Fashion Week Men 2024
