Good American debuted its new Summer Denim Collection, and Lori Harvey is the campaign’s star that captures the essence of a coastal cowgirl summer. The 26-year-old model looks stunning in the Western-inspired images styled by Zerina Akers. Akers is a fashion designer who won a Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Costumes for a Variety, Nonfiction, or Reality Program for her work on “Black Is King.”

The Good American shoot channels two of Harvey’s passions: fashion and horses—she was formerly a competitive equestrian. “From must-have denim details to light washes for hot weather, each piece is tailored to embrace your every curve,” Good American teased in an Instagram post on Monday. The company added several more posts, including one that read simply, “Saddle up!”

In an emotional video a couple of months ago, Lasizwe Dambuza said he was quitting YouTube. That is now out the window as he plans a comeback with a new show, “Awkward Dates.” The first episode will air on his channel in July, serving as a birthday present for him. Lasizwe said he came up with the concept for the 10-episode show, writing the scripts and questions, with all of this possible because he had a lot of time on his hands.

“The show was inspired by this UK YouTuber who is also a content creator. Her name is Amelia Dimoldenberg. She has a show called Chicken Shop Date and I was a huge fan of it and how she executed it. South African celebrities have never been seen as human … People see us as these stars and behind the stars it’s emotions and feelings and all of that stuff.” A clip on Instagram reveals the celebs participating in the show, including Mihlali Ndamase, Toss and Mmusi Maimane, with Lasizwe saying his guest selection criteria was informal.

Hollywood icon Nia Long is continuing her gift of storytelling but in a different form — a memoir. On June 21, reports revealed that “The Best Man” actress will soon publish an autobiography with 13a, an imprint of Gallery Books. According to reports, the book will highlight Long’s career, motherhood, and activism with untold stories and personal reflections from the Brooklyn native. “I am thrilled to have found a home for my memoir at Gallery and 13a,” Long said. “My steps to finding divine purpose have been thoughtful and intentional. For better or worse, you will find truth and transparency in the storytelling, sprinkled with ’90s nostalgia.”

Long also celebrated the announcement on Instagram as she wrote, “The best chapter is the next chapter! Incredibly grateful for my kick a** team.” The publishing company, 13a, was named after the amendment that abolished slavery. They’re known for working with the leading Black voices in sports, entertainment, and lifestyle, among other areas.

5. Jose Mourinho quits UEFA board after just two months following four-match ban

Jose Mourinho has quit the UEFA Football Board after just two months, with the ranting Roma boss unhappy at European football’s governing body. The outspoken Portuguese was invited to join an organization set up by ex-AC Milan star Zvonimir Boban and former referee Roberto Rosetti in April – with several illustrious former players and coaches charged with the task of delivering positive change. Mourinho has, however, sensationally walked away from his role after being hit with a four-match ban for his foul-mouthed tirade aimed in the direction of Premier League match official Antony Taylor following Roma’s penalty shootout defeat to Sevilla in the Europa League final.

Mourinho has said in a letter sent to UEFA, which was not addressed to president Aleksandar Ceferin: “Dear Mr. Boban, in thanking you for the invitation you extended to me to be a member of the UEFA Football Board, I regret to inform you that, effective immediately, I will be renouncing to my participation in this group. The conditions which I so strongly believed in when I joined are no longer standing and I felt the obligation to take this decision. I kindly ask that you also communicate my decision to the President Mr. Aleksander Ceferin. Kind regards, Jose Mourinho.”
