The 2017 edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) was held in Lagos on the 12th of November, 2017 with a host of African stars converging at Eko Hotel & Suites for a night of musical celebration. In attendance were African celebrities from music, film, fashion, media and other fields.
The night saw Nigerian acts like Wizkid, Simi, M.I, Tiwa Savage, Ycee, Orezi, 2Baba receiving awards with Wizkid being the highest winner of the night as he took home 3 awards, one each for Song of the Year, Artist of the Year & Best West African Act (Male) and Nigeria being a major winner in the most prestigious categories.
