Serena Williams has announced the launch of her own multimedia production company, called 926 Productions. The 23-time Grand Slam champion announced that she was “evolving away” from tennis last summer, with the hard-court swing in
the US acting as her farewell tour. Since then, there have been several rumors of a suspected comeback, but Williams was always keen to stress that her emotional farewell at the US Open last summer really was the end of her competitive tennis career.

One of the greatest tennis players of all time, Williams still has other skills and interests outside of the world she so completely dominated for nearly two decades. With this latest venture, the mother-of-one is truly embracing her entrepreneurial spirit and marking the start of the next chapter in her life away from the tennis court.

2. Fortnite infuses Burna Boy’s afro-moonwalk dance into video game

Nigerian heavyweight singer, songwriter, and performer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has achieved a new feat, this time on the famous online game Fortnite. Fortnite is an online adventure video game released in 2017, available in three distinct game modes, in which part of its gameplay includes 100 players fighting to be the last person standing.

In the latest update, Burna Boy’s popularly Afro-Moonwalk has been infused in the game as an emote, which allows a player to perform a short action that requires the character to move to act it out — in this case, it’s the popular Micheal Jackson-inspired dance by the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer.

Following his announcement earlier in the week that his eagerly anticipated upcoming album is on the way, rapper and celebrity boxer Cassper Nyovest has previewed a new song titled “Summer Rose” on Instagram. Nyovest took to his Instagram Live in the early hours of Thursday to invite fans into his studio session with pianist and long-time collaborator Alie Keys, as well as superstar vocalist Nobantu Vilakazi. The song he previewed sees Nyovest combining the sounds of hip-hop and kwaito over two rap verses on a laid-back beat and a mellow hook.

Toward the end of the 10-minute-long IG Live, the trio also performed an acoustic version of the song. “Vibing out with Nobantu Vilakazi tonight, final touches on the album with Alie Keys,” he shared on his Instagram feed when the IG Live ended.

Zendaya has landed another major partnership. On Thursday, April 20, Louis Vuitton announced that the Euphoria actress has been named House Ambassador, and stars in the luxury fashion brand’s newest campaign for the Capucines handbag. This partnership marks Zendaya’s first with Louis Vuitton. The photos for the Capucines bag feature the star drenched in sunlight, posing with several models of the purse in Cote d’Azur (the French Riviera). Zendaya was most recently an ambassador for Valentino, joining the fashion house’s family in 2020.

5. Mikel Arteta gives worrying William Saliba update

Mikel Arteta says he is unsure whether William Saliba will play any further part in Arsenal’s title pursuit. The Gunners defender has not featured since being forced off against Sporting CP due to a back injury, missing the last four Premier League games. He will not be involved against Southampton tonight and Arteta was unable to confirm when asked whether he would be able to feature in any of Arsenal’s remaining seven games of the season.

“I don’t know,” said the Arsenal boss. “Probably next week we will have more certainty. There is some evolution, he’s doing more activity, but he’s not there yet to start to throw him on the pitch at the level demanded to compete in this league. We still need to wait a little bit more. He’s not progressing as quick as we hoped. It’s a bit delicate. We want to be certain when we push him that he’s ready to absorb the risk that we would take and at the moment that’s not possible.”
