e all dress up every day, but what separates one outfit from the other? Individuality, creativity, and confidence. Naija celebrities had these three qualities in quantum last week. Little wonder why their sartorial choices were distinct from the regular turn-ups. While others snoozed, these charming fashion lovers partnered with their glam squad to create dashing looks for the watch party of Gang of Lagos on Amazon Prime. The movie, which arrived Prime on April 7, has long held Nollywod enthusiasts in a chokehold. And when the watch party arrived, it was no surprise that celebs headed out in stunning ensembles to honor the occasion.
And because glamor never takes a day off, the Easter celebrations were another reason not to pass up a merciless slay. We saw lush fabrics, stellar color combos, and apt adherence to party themes that reminded us that fashion is as diverse as the women who rock them for Nigerian celebrities. There’s indeed no party like a Lagos (or Nigerian, for that matter) party.
Check out Nigerian celebrity fashion styles that hit hard last week…
#1. Jumpsuit charm: Bisola Aiyeola in Somo

Jumpsuits are timeless and versatile pieces that designers constantly modify. When you think you’ve seen it all, there’s a different silhouette that piques your interest all over again. Ex-BBN star, Bisola Aiyeola slid into a multi-colored Somo jumpsuit to host the Gang of Lagos event, and it’s obvious she didn’t aim for peace. The embellished caped top was the extra dash of charm for this look.
#2. B&W blazer dress: Nancy Isime in Julyet Peters

The blazer dress is one piece of wonder that boss ladies can opt for when a suit is out of the question. You’ll feel empowered with its tailored structure and exude femininity while at it.
Nigerian actress Nancy Isime doesn’t fail to render voguish fashion doses. Last week, she wore a classic black blazer dress over a crisp white button-down shirt with a bow tie. And because Nancy knows her fashion onions, she completed the Julyet Peters piece with a wide-brim hat. This is how a boss chic brings sex-ay back.

#3. Clashing textures: Adesua Etomi-Wellington in Ann Cranberry

Award-winning actress, Adesua Etomi-Wellington stunned in a green-with-envy coordination. Her olive Aso-oke blazer with a fringe hem paired nicely with the green satin gloss pants and yellowish-green beaded corset and collar neckpiece she rocked with it. To finish the assignment, the star opted for yellow pumps and an embellished purse. The match-and-mix fashion trend might seem hard to pull off, but here’s Etomi-Wellington showing us that it can be done.
#4. Decorated and tailored: Lala Akindoju in Hué by Idera

Decorated and tailored — fashion’s own oxymoron. They prove that an outfit can be on two extremes and still turn out right. This decorated Hué dress, worn by actor and producer Lala Akindoju, is a case in point. The masterpiece is endowed with a plethora of fringe trims and feathery adornments that make it a sight to behold. The tailored dress gives off an elegant and refined flair, while the bold colors and fringe garnishes exude a playful, carefree vibe. Interestingly, Akindoju is one Nigerian celebrity whose fashion takes explore different terrains.
#5. Owambe ready: Mo Abudu

During the Easter celebration, Nigerian media mogul Mo Abudu wore a breathtaking white slit gown with gold embellishment and ruched details at the waistline. The lacy sleeves were a paid tie in this stunning frock, and as a typical Nigerian, she wouldn’t rock the festive number without a gele (a Nigerian headgear).
#6. Flirty white combo: Sharon Ooja in Alexander Wang

White is that hue you don’t have to do much to spice up. Nollywood actress Sharon Ooja understands this and wore a white top tucked into matching Alexander Wang shorts, silver strap heels, and a black Dior bag in celebration of her birthday. This look will easily tend itself to any casual weekend affair.

#7. Lush black dress: Eku Edewor in Oríré

A black dress will always be the main character. Actress Eku Edewor clearly knows this and favored a black number for the Gang of Lagos on Prime watch party. Her ruffled black dress, metallic gele, and vintage jewelry choices delivered on major. The getup was beautiful, creative, and no doubt applied pressure.
One thing is sure: we all love a good slay. That’s what makes Nigerian celebrity fashion styles a must-see. Naija stars definitely know how to play the fashion game.
