#1. Lojay – Availabu

Talented Nigerian music sensation Lojay, real name Lekan Osifeso Jr., is back as he serenades us with a well-crafted studio project called Gangster Romantic EP. Housing seven melodious songs, the Gangster Romantic EP by Lojay features guest appearances from South African record producers DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small. On this EP is Availabu, one of the songs that brilliantly displays the star’s range as a performer. Lojay’s love life and experiences are reflected in Availabu, and this is clear through the song’s lyrics and the emotions he expresses.

#2. Libianca ft. Ayra Starr and Omah Lay – People (Remix)

Libianca’s smash hit, People has been met with rave reviews at home and abroad since its release, especially by the Anglophone community, particularly Nigeria. To that effect, the Cameroonian-American songstress decided to make a remix with Nigerian artistes Omah Lay and Ayra Starr on the record. People remix is further enhanced by the incredible vocals of the ever-talented Omah Lay and the charming Ayra Starr; it feels like their vocals have been missing on the track. The track serves as Libianca’s second offering for 2023, a follow-up to the chart-topping original version.

#3. Spyro ft. Tiwa Savage – Who Is Your Guy? (Remix)

Spyro is having an incredible run with the hit record Who is Your Guy?, which obviously has saturated the streets of Nigeria. Even with the aforementioned, the singer is out for more. To that effect, Spyro has collaborated with one of Nigeria’s finest artistes, Tiwa Savage, on the remix of the record. The Mr. Soul-produced Who is Your Guy remix counts as Sypro’s first offering for 2023 and his first collaboration with Savage. The remix directly follows the original version, which was released back in November 2022.

#4. Rexxie ft. Ajebo Hustlers – Call My Phone

Grammy Award-winning producer, Rexxie, teams up with Port Harcourt-raised music duo, Ajebo Hustlers, for the release of a brand new song which he titles Call My Phone. Rexxie carves his own lane, effectively circumventing mainstream expectations with his self-proclaimed “Afro Streets” sound. Nigeria’s Ajebo Hustlers are known for their fusion of highlife, Afropop, and street slang. A collaboration between these artistes was only bound to be a banger, and it is.

#5. Major Lazer, Major League DJz ft. Joeboy – Designer

Major Lazer and Major League DJz have released their collaborative Amapiano record, Designer. This song is an ear-candy dance song that brings together Major Lazer, Major League DJz, and Nigerian singer Joeboy. Joeboy adds his unique vocals to the enticing Afro-Amapiano instrumental, which sounds so pleasing. No doubt, it’s an outstanding collaboration that highlights the individual styles and skills of each musician involved. With this collab, the stars created a well-crafted and incredibly appealing track using their extraordinary talents that is sure to be a smash with music fans.
