Last Week, The Best Beauty Looks Went Hard On Sizzling Glamour

wenty twenty-two ended on a high note in the beauty department courtesy of Black celebs advocating for looks that dared to match the fervor of the moment. The excitement was high, the parties upbeat, and the New Year’s eve makeup and hairstyles simply matched tempo. The stars played with colors and textures in such a way that brought a year famous for its numerous beauty trends to a mega fine finish.

Red is a color that works magic on all skin tones, little wonder why red lipstick is a staple in every IT girl’s beauty arsenal. We saw plenty of red lipsticks steal the spotlight last week including an offering from vocal powerhouse Jennifer Hudson. Hudson enjoyed the end-of-the-year festivities with a classic red lippe, and as expected, a striking wing liner and soft brows came to the party as well. 

There was a slew of birthday celebrations last week and the partying girls donned beautiful makeup takes as they marked a new year. Over in Nigeria, two of our favorite actresses found themselves in this situation and dolled up to the occasion. On the one hand, Uche Jombo stepped onto the 43rd floor in a divine look characterized by neutral tones enlivened by touches of gold. On the other hand,  Mercy Aigbe Adeoti favored a full glam take featuring smokey eyes and a bright pout for her 45th birthday. 

Hair

On the days you want to give your natural hair a break, there no denying that a good wig is an answer. As we counted down to the end of 2022, Porsha Guobadia shook our timeline with a sleek, black, wavy wig that perfectly complemented her entire glam for the night.
