As the year 2022 is wrapping up, Afrobeats artistes are beginning to take stock of the year and are hosting their festive season concerts. However, some of the stars who aren’t headlining concerts are still blessing fans with groovy, festive season-worthy jams and we are very appreciative of that. While still anticipating his EP, Grit and Lust, street-hop artist Zinoleesky has released one of the songs off the project titled Personal. This comes after he teased the track at the start of the week.

Elsewhere, YBNL’s newest signee, Senth released his debut EP called Senth Of Her. On this five-track EP is Don’t Care, an afro-tropical tune that will definitely put you in the mood to tango. Other artists also put out songs with which to close the year, and we’ve curated the top five trending tunes for your listening pleasure.

Check out the top 5 trending new Afrobeats songs released this week…

#1. Zinoleesky – Personal

While his upcoming EP is still in the works, street-hop sensation Zinoleesky has released the first single, Personal, of the highly anticipated body of work. Teasing it on Instagram, the song is a fast-tempo, drum-heavy, groovy track that comes correct with the artiste’s signature sound. On Personal, Zino admonishes people not to take his attitude personally as he is just living life how he wants. This is definitely a hit in the making.

#2. Runtown – Dangerous Hearts

Runtown is back on the music scene after a long hiatus. This time, not just with a song but with an entire album titled, Signs. The 13-track album houses Dangerous Hearts, a sonically pleasing song whose sound is reminiscent of songs from the disco era. This slow-tempo work proves that Runtown is still as talented as when he stepped on the scene.

#3. Naira Marley – Girls Just Wanna Have Funds

Nigeria street-hop favorite, Naira Marley is closing the year with this amapiano banger titled Girls Just Wanna Have Funds. Having proven to have mastered the genre which originates from South Africa, Marley is one of the many Nigerian artistes who have jumped on the trend of merging it with Afrobeats. We’re definitely not complaining as the results have been bangers just like his latest offering.

#4. Senth – Don’t Care

YBNL’s newly signed artiste, Senth has released his debut EP titled Senth Of Her to introduce the world to the full scope of his sound. On this five-track EP is Don’t Care, an Afro-tropical love song that lovers can certainly tango to. On Don’t Care, Senth shows listeners that his unique sound is the future.

#5. Masterkraft ft. Tekno – 10 Sure Oddz

The Amapiano craze doesn’t seem to be letting up among Nigerian artistes. Another fire release this week is this Afro-amapiano song, 10 Sure Oddz, by producer Masterkraft with a vocal assist from Tekno. The premise of this song tells us both artistes had a lot of fun while creating this record and want listeners to have a swell time grooving to it this festive season.
