The word “basic” was certainly not on A-listers’ minds last week. Hollywood’s red carpets, sports centers, and even the streets of Lagos (at the just concluded Lagos Fashion Week) were studded with lush and extravagant outfits. The best-dressed men gravitated towards fits with interesting hues, patterns, textures, and cuts. The result was a slew of men flying the fashion banner high and stealing attention in the process. The Looks
Bold hues made a show last week. At the American premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Michael B. Jordan wore a yellow Louis Vuitton look consisting of a knee-length coat worn over a white tank top and a pair of matching wide-leg pants with slits that run from the hems to the ankle. He accessorized with a gold Tiffany & Co. necklace and a gold Vacheron Constantin wristwatch. This color was decidedly “summery,” but felt fresh in a covered-up layered look for the cooler months.
Bold prints also proved to be a favorite. Ahead of the third Grand Prix Formula 1 free practice session, racer Lewis Hamilton shone in a purple and black Louis Vuitton Resort 2023 jacket and pants, a perfect balance between cozy and playful. For shoes, he opted for a pair of black leather boots and accessorized with black sunglasses.
There were even a few relaxed moments last week. For Week 7 of the NFL season, San Francisco 49er pro player, Deebo Samuel sported a green and white lace Bode shirt and a pair of black faux leather RTA pants.
