Last Week, Black Women Showcased Black Excellence With Effortless Glow

Product launches, movie premieres, and celebration of authentic culture: these and more are some of the activities that welcomed us into the month of February. Considering that February’s been tagged Black History month, we certainly aren’t surprised by the inspiring lengths Black women have gone in showcasing all that is Black excellence. From business to family, style to beauty, Black stars have continued to proudly forge ahead, debunking stereotypes and writing their own history.

Last week, as the would-be pages of history once again flipped, we saw an enormous number of Black women eager to write their own stories. Of course, we binged on beauty stories powerful enough to be imprinted in the sands of time. As expected, we’ve curated the best beauty looks spotted last week so you too can experience Black beauty in all its glory. Let the story begin!

The Looks

Few can argue with the timelessness of Vivica Fox. The American actress is certainly like fine wine that old gets better through the years. She reminded us of this truth as she showed up for the Cocktail with Queens show on Fox Soul looking nothing more than 30. The hair, makeup, outfit, and accessories all played together for an unforgettable look.  

If black is the color of glamour, then Black women are undoubtedly glamourous in every way! Kelly Rowland sure looked glamorous as she evoked power and sophistication in a clean face beat. With this effortless glow, the mother-of-two remarked her spot in our hearts. 

Hair

When it comes to hair color options for women of color, ginger seems to always be avoided. Nonetheless, it’s one shade that can instantly add a splash of edge to your entire glam. Nicki Minaj understands this and debuted a wavy mane tinted in ginger. Between the color and style, this hairstyle was certainly amazing.
