Not every great outfit necessitates a red carpet. While dressing up for significant events is thrilling, looks worn for running errands or grabbing coffee can equally be a loud fashion statement. Last week, as Black men enjoyed fashion week, running errands, and going about their duties, they opted for impressive style choices that made maximum impact.
The Looks
Crowd-pleasing emerged as last week’s theme, especially when it involved layering in a bid to stay warm. For a day out on the streets of the Big Apple, Creative Director of Rich Access, Jermain Richards took street style to the next level by layering a black wool coat over a black vest and black faux leather pants, all from his brand Rich Access. The ensemble reflected Richards’ status as a fashion influencer turned fashion designer. He complimented the fit with a pair of glossy leather Prada boots and a sequin bucket hat. Certainly, maintaining black from head to toe was a good idea as the monochrome outfit was regal and unapologetically upbeat.
Elsewhere, sportsman Russell Westbrook stepped out putting denim to the test in a denim on denim look, garnering the attention of many. The matching set featured snowflake details that was indeed a brilliant juxtaposition of strong and delicate, which he rightly paired with white kicks. Certainly, this was a confident look in more ways than one.
