We saw this once again last week as Black women worldwide opted for sophisticated glam with their beauty looks and lit Instagram on fire. Makeup
Real Housewives of Atlanta Star Eva Marcille made a case for bronze lips that perfectly matched her skin tone, eyes, and hair. To make her look pop, she didn’t skip the black liner which defined and brought attention to her eyes. In Nigeria, Nollywood actress and producer, Osas Ighodaro, made a statement with her eyes. Her burnt orange eyeshadow was the perfect contrast to her lime green dress.
While some of us are still trying to master the art of blending our eyeshadows properly, YouTuber and blogger, Jasmine Egal is making us wish we had her skills as she delivered the perfect cut crease we came across last week. Her perfectly defined eyes were finished off with lashes that would literally sweep you off your feet.
Hair
The hair game last week had us confused as to which hairstyle we should now settle for. From the low cut as seen on Nigerian singer Omawumi to the pixie cuts sported by Nigerian media personalities, Cynthia Nwadiora and Lola OJ, we’re now considering short hair might be the way this season. However, Hollywood actress Tracee Ellis Ross and BBNaija star Antoinette Munirat Lecky, had us considering that either going the threading route or opting for box braids might just be the way forward. Whatever we decide, one thing is for sure, we can all agree that the glam looks on these Black women last week screamed sophistication.
