Last weekend on Sunday, 11th of June 2017, the Lagos grand premiere of the highly anticipated romantic comedy “Isoken” was held at the Landmark Center in Victoria Island, Lagos.
It was a star-studded occasion as celebrities like Rita Dominic, Dakore Akande, Stephanie Coker, Funke Akindele, Patrick Doyle, Damilola Adegbite Attoh, Ini Dima-Okojie, Tiwa Savage, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Mai Atafo, Mocheddah among others were spotted at the event.
The movie tells the story of an unmarried woman “Isoken” played by Dakore Akande at 34 in a society that is obsessed with marriage. It explores cultural expectations, racial stereotypes and more in a very touching and comedic manner.
The red carpet was lit as stars were dressed in various shades of style and glamour to suit the “African Royalty” theme.
