According to reports circulating, it was gathered that Ray Hushpuppi who lives in Dubai and an accomplice, Mr. Woodbery, and a number of others, defrauded a number of American states of $35 million and have been arrested. Hushpuppi arrested in Dubai.

The money was budgeted to purchase ventilators for COVID-19 treatment purposes on persons suffering from the coronavirus in America. It was also gathered that Hushpuppi, Woodberry, and two of their men who hijacked the money were arrested by the INTERPOL and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

A video making rounds on social media revealed how Hushpuppi and his cohorts were allegedly surrounded by the International police and FBI.

2. Noguchi tests herbal medicines for COVID-19 treatment in Ghana

The Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) of the University of Ghana has indicated that it has received a number of local herbal medicines which are being considered for the possible treatment of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Professor Abraham Kwabena Annan, Director of the NMIMR, told the media that the institute had set up a platform to test and determine whether the local herbal preparations presented to the center had the efficacy to treat COVID-19. 3. Dora Dlamini, ANC MP in South Africa confirmed dead

A 57-year-old ANC MP has been confirmed dead by the party’s chief whip after she was taken ill on Tuesday. Dora Dlamini was one of the 231 representatives of the ruling party who was sworn into the sixth Parliament last year. Her last act of duty saw her attend a Plenary session via Zoom.

Elected as an ANC MP only 13 months ago, Dora Dlamini sadly lost her life just hours after undertaking some official Parliamentary business.

While states have reopened businesses and life in the U.S. is starting to regain a sense of normalcy, a leading health expert is warning “we are still in a pandemic.”

Many people remain vulnerable to the disease, and the pandemic will continue as long as there’s a readily transmissible virus and a population with little or no immunity to it, said Dr. Jay Butler, head of the COVID-19 response at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. 5. Roger Federer to miss rest of 2020 after a further knee operation

Roger Federer will miss the rest of the 2020 season after having a further operation on his right knee. The 20-time Grand Slam winner had the initial arthroscopic surgery in February but said he suffered a “setback” with his rehabilitation.

Professional tennis has been suspended since March because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“I will look forward to seeing everyone back on tour at the start of the 2021 season,” the 38-year-old Swiss said.
