The Best Dressed African Male Celebrities Of The Week – January 19

At Style Rave, we aim to inspire our readers by…
It’s yet another opportunity to look back and celebrate the best dressed male celebrities in the African fashion and entertainment industries. With just a few weeks into 2020, male celebs from Nigeria to South Africa and back to Tanzania are already impressing us with the kind of sharp style that any guy looking to step up his wardrobe game would find inspiring.
From the most daring formal trends to hit a red carpet (who could forget how hard relaxed suits hit us in 2019 and how it’s making a comeback in 2020) to the most cool yet refined street style choices – snapped in action – the best-dressed men last week schooled us in textural play, the art of layering, and the importance of a proper-fitting garment – take notes, guys.
Over in Nigeria, TV host and actor, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu played dress up as he went with an almost all-white ensemble inspired by a classic naval captain’s uniform. For footwear, he went with a pair of champagne gold Oxford shoes which added more spark to the outfit. He then finished the ensemble off with a pair of black sunglasses. The entire look screams “Aye Aye Captain” and we are so here for it.
Down in the south, we have popular South African fashion designer Rich Mnisi serving us radiance in a sequin coordinated set. He layered a colourful puffer jacket with a fur collar over the glistening body-hugging top and trouser set, then complemented it with a pair of black patent leather boots. His look gets 10s across the board from us.
In the eastern country of Tanzania, internationally acclaimed singer, Diamond Platnumz is steadily proving why he’s the fashion god of Tanzania. The singer wore a Louis Vuitton coordinating set which he layered over a white t-shirt. To match the white shirt, he went with a pair of white sneakers which made the look even wavier. He accessorised with diamond-encrusted pieces of jewellery like his name suggests, a pair of black sunglasses and a bandana – 90s’ bad boy style.
Many more male celebrities and influencers came through with amazing style last week and we’ve compiled the best-dressed looks for your entertainment and inspiration.
