Awards season is now in full force and for the third time in two weeks, a group of movie and television stars gathered for yet another award show – the SAG Awards 2020. The 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards which held on Sunday 19th January 2020 at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles was hostless for the first time in two years.
The Screen Actors Guild Awards honours the best achievements in film and television performances for the previous year. For the SAG Awards 2020, Robert De Niro, who was announced as the 2019 SAG Life Achievement Award recipient on November 12, 2019, had his award presented by Leonardo DiCaprio.
Hot on the heels of the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards and with just over a month to go until the Oscars, the Screen Actors Guild Awards saw Hollywood’s leading stars showing no sign of red-carpet fatigue. Lupita Nyong’o made a statement in a stunning black and white Louis Vuitton dress, which featured 20,000 sequins and 12,000 glass beads. On the male side, Nigerian-British actor, Olatunde Olateju Olaolorun “O. T.” Fagbenle was proud to show off his Nigerian side in his royal blue Agbada and needless to say, we love it!
