Last Week, Our Fave Male Celebrities Took On Bold Native And Suit Looks

Every week, we take a look back at the past week to celebrate the best dressed male celebrities and influencers in an effort to help inspire your next outfit. Because whether you’re a style connoisseur or simply enjoy poring over some well-dressed, cosily clad dudes, we all appreciate a well-dressed man.

One of the most notable things about Nigerian men’s fashion is how our gents stylishly pull off even the simplest of native attires. As it is generally known, Nigerian men serve the best traditional styles on a platter and they do it with a whole lot of swag! When they are not clad in native attires, they are usually all dressed up in different variations of suits and blazers. We definitely cannot sleep on their casual style game either.

Native wears and suits were the order of the week, last week. Our favourite male celebrities and influencers were all clad up in colourful native wears and suits for different occasions. What we enjoyed the most was how the native pieces served came in refreshingly bright and bold colours and how the suits were styled in the most individualistic ways. Talk about a load of inspiration. #wearetakingnotes

Yomi Makun, creative director of Yomi Casual showed the men how to serve lavender Agbada vibes for an Owambe. The geometric embroidery on the agbada really made it stand out. The colour yellow on black skin always blends well like butter on bread and former BBNaija housemate Leo Da Silva and Chris Okagbue proved this in their yellow custom made trado outfits. Black people truly invented colours.

These days, men have been doing so much in terms of colours and style. Top stylist Tosin Ogundadegbe of The Style Infidel colour-blocked beautifully and cohesively in a hibiscus coloured suit, orange shirt and red shoes, keeping the colour theme in the larger red family. Comedian and PR strategist Taymesan looked so dapper in his floral-pattern suit as he paired it with a pair of tan Oxford shoes – wise choice!

Check out how our favourite male celebrities and influencers stunned in native wears and more…
