There’s something excitingly special about the 90s. From quirky cartoons to hip fashion and movies, everything was just right. The 90s were the days of Napster, Friends TV show, no bills (for us 80s to 90s kids), and when playing meant really playing! What a time it was to grow up in.
These memories come with an overwhelming nostalgic feeling when 90s cartoons come to mind, especially those we watched on Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. Luckily, these cartoons are not etched in our minds alone as they are also available online for you to indulge in when the need arises.

#1. Power puff girls
A genius scientist used sugar, spice and everything nice to create these little girl superheroes. As they daily defeated their archenemy (and half-brother), Mojo Jojo, Buttercup, Blossom and Bubbles showed us that everything is possible. This ‘90s cartoon projected girl power and was hilariously empowering.

We”ll give anything to turn “the wheel of morality” in this present day to show us the way to should go. Inseparable siblings, Yakko and Wakko, and their sister, Dot taught us that standing together is always cool. There was never a dull moment watching this ‘90s cartoon.
#3. Hey Arnold!
This was probably where the ladies learnt to tease their crush by calling them big head or, better still, ‘football head’. It’s 2021 now and we hope you ladies have changed your ways.
#4. Pinky and the brain
Brain literally had brains, so it’s a thing of wonder why he was stuck with dumb Pinky. The equilibrium of life, perhaps. Thanks to Brain, we were convinced to never give up trying to take over the world everyday.
#5. Dexter’s laboratory
Don’t we all have that annoying sibling like “Dee Dee”? Okay, maybe not cuz Dee Dee is in a class of her own. “Oooh, what does this button do?” and with this phrase comes crumbling all of Dexter’s hard scientific work. Oh, Dee Dee, I never thought I’d ever say this, I miss you.
If only we could turn the hands of time for a short while to sit on the couch and savor our favorite ‘90s cartoons one more time, with our parents making dinner while crossing our legs with no worry in the world. Don’t grow up, it’s a bills-filled trap. Just kidding!
