5 DIY Remedies To Grow Fuller And Longer Lashes | SR Beauty

A fashion and culture enthusiast who's really a food loving…
Just like eyebrows, eyelashes are also a very important part of our face. We all want fuller lashes which is why some women opt for falsies or invest in mascaras that promise a world of fuller lashes. It is, however, worthy to note that when you constantly glue on fake eyelashes, you may cause your natural lashes to thin out and what’s even worse is wearing falsies regularly for long stretches of time can cause bacteria to build up between the glue and lash.
The best way forward is to take better care of your lashes and groom it to become as full and as thick as you desire. You can achieve naturally thick eyelashes inexpensively but it takes dedication and patience. All you have to do is add a few natural ingredients to your daily beauty regimen. Bear in mind that each remedy will have different results for different people. It may take a few weeks to several months to get the desired result, and you may have to try more than one remedy to find one that works for you.
Remember: you do not want to apply products to dirty skin so it is advised that you wash your hands and face before you start.
Here are ways to grow longer lashes naturally…
Petroleum Jelly
Good old Vaseline has continually proved to be a lifesaver. Dip a cotton bud in and then run it along your lash line like an eyeliner. Next, put a bit of jelly on your fingers and gently run over your lashes. Do this before bed and wash your face by the morning. Repeat this at least 3 times a week.
Castor Oil
Castor oil serves as a powerful follicle stimulator, gets rid of any microorganisms present in the lashes that are hampering growth and will nourish your lashes and help them to become healthier, stronger, and resistant to breakage. Castor oil is also very good for the hair. Use either your finger or a cotton bud to lightly apply the one drop or two of castor oil from the roots of the eyelashes to the ends of the lashes. Castor oil can be purchased from any pharmacy around you.
Olive Oil
Olive oil, rich in vitamin E and oleic acid, nourish and add volume to your eyelashes while also helping to keep the lashes dark. Apply a few drops of warm olive oil on a cotton ball and dab on eyelashes. Leave it on for five minutes or you can do this overnight then rinse off with tepid water. Do this for four weeks or until you get desired results.
Coconut Oil
Being dubbed as a cure for everything, it is no wonder that coconut oil made this list. Rich in vitamins and essential nutrients, coconut oil can effectively renew scalp hair as well as lashes and eyebrows while making your eyelashes longer, softer and shinier. Ensure the oil is warm before use and you can use this daily.
Leave your lashes alone and massage your eyelids
Nothing beats being gentle with your lashes. It is best to avoid rubbing your eyes unnecessarily or pulling on your lashes when you are removing makeup. Finally, an eyelid massage is another easy way to make your eyelashes grow longer and stronger. The massage helps to stimulate the hair follicles of your lashes. Just be careful not to be too rough though when you massage, or you will do more harm, than good.
