3 Fashion Tips For Plus-Sized Men To Rock Every Outfit

3-tips-plus-sized-fashion-men-should-consider-to-slay-every-outfit

Although now stable in women’s fashion, people are starting to realize that plus-sized men also need some fashion consideration. Unfortunately, most mainstream men’s fashion retailers do not cater to plus-sized men and this can make it difficult for bigger men to find good items for their wardrobe.

Clothing styles for men, regardless of size, should give a clean and well-defined shape to the body. Considering that dressing well is about presenting your body in the best and most flattering way possible without trying to distort the body itself, plus-size men should always go for pieces with the best possible fit.

To that end, we have curated three fundamental tips to help plus-sized men rock every outfit...

#1. Fit is key

Fit is unnegotiable when it comes to plus-sized fashion. Sagging clothes or clothes with improper fit look sloppy. On a large man, the effect of this is even more amplified hence, a lot worse. Dressing in clothing sizes too big in order to hide your physique would do you more harm than good and downgrade your overall appearance. The better the fit, the more comfortable your clothes would feel. You want your clothes to rest lightly on your body and not hug it tightly or hang loosely with visible folds.

#2. Keep things simple

As someone with a big frame, you have to keep things simple to avoid an overwhelming effect. Patterns should be left at a minimum and paired with solid colors to complement the physique. Think solid-colored jackets and pants and lightly striped shirts, rather than loud graphic ones.

#3. Stick to lightweight fabrics

Thick clothes underline your size and make you look bulky. They also keep heat in which causes excessive sweating, which is already a problem for most plus-sized people. Understand fabrics. Know the ones that are good for layering and those that are not. A smooth and lightweight fabric is going to feel better on a plus-sized man than something chunky.
