The 2020 Grammy Awards, being in its 62nd installation, took place at the Staples Center in downtown L.A. on Sunday, January 26. The night which is music’s biggest night honours the best in the various genres of music.
The show, which was hosted by Alicia Keys, for the second year in a row, played host to some wild fashion moments from the biggest names in the music industry. The night was one filled with mixed feelings as just hours before, news had broken that Kobe Bryant had died in a helicopter accident.
For 2020, the stars came onto the Grammy Awards red carpet in vibrant colours with Billy Porter stealing the show as always in a sparkling blue Baja East jumpsuit dripping in rhinestone fringe with a matching bolero and wide-brimmed hat. Lil Nas X also aimed to steal the spotlight as he arrived in a Versace harness suit with hand-embroidered gold studs while Tyler, the Creator opted for a slightly lighter shade for his bellhop-inspired look which he completed with a large piece of luggage.
The ladies were not left behind in the drama as Ariana Grande arrived in a grey voluminous princess ball gown with layers of tulle billowing dramatically while Lizzo showed up in a silver and white Atelier Versace dress with a matching faux fur stole.
