Falz, Patoranking’s Girls, Sarkodie’s Oofeetsɔ + More Songs To Groove To This Weekend

With the festive season around the corner, African music industries are steady spinning new songs to fuel the party season. First off is Falz and Patoranking reminding us of the importance of girls at any party with their single titled, Girls

Besides Falz and Patoranking’s Girls, Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie wants us to do us with his recent single Oofeetsɔ. Waje and Mr Raw, on the other hand, decided to mesmerize us with a chilled tune sang and rapped in the Igbo language.

Here are 5 of the hottest Nigerian/African songs to listen to this weekend…

1. Falz, Patoranking – Girls

Bahd Guys Records Boss and President of the Sweet Boys Association, Falz teamed up with dance hall superstar, Patoranking on this new single titled Girls. In the colourful video directed by TG Omori, Falz recognises the presence of ladies in a gathering as he says girls are the life of a party, therefore, any party without them won’t be a nice one to arrange or attend. 

2. Sarkodie ft. Prince Bright (Buk Bak) – Oofeetsɔ

Ghanaian rapper and Sarkcess Music leader, Sarkodie has released his much-awaited single featuring Prince Bright (Buk Bak) tagged Oofeetsɔ – meaning ‘skin pain’. Sarkodie does not want you ‘to mind anybody’ because when you do what they say you cannot do, they will be shocked.


3. Mr Raw – Odogwu Aburo Guy Name

If the ogene beats in this song does not make you leave your seat, then I don’t know what else will. Okechukwu Edwards Ukeje formally known as Dat N.I.G.G.A Raw and now, Mr Raw is back on the scene with a new banging single titled Odogwu Aburo Guy Name which literally means ‘being called the mighty one is not a nickname’. According to him, in this track produced by Kezyklef, if you know what he knows, it will give you a migraine.

4. Waje ft Zoro – Ngwa

For the first time, Nigerian vocal powerhouse, Waje sings purely in the Igbo language to show her love for her fans from the eastern part of Nigeria. On this track titled Ngwa, Waje features indigenous rapper Zoro as they both do justice to the Philkeyz produced single. The song talks about putting your heart into whatever you do so that you get what you want.


5. Asa – Murder In The USA

Nigerian-French singer and songwriter, Asa serves us with the official music video for her previous single titled Murder In The USA. This is off her album tagged Lucid which consists of 14 tracks. The video was shot and directed by Sesan Ogunro and Asa.
