Nearly 20 years ago, Jennifer Lopez looked stunning on the Grammy Awards red carpet as she donned a green, plunge-necked, silk-chiffon Versace dress and for their SS20 show at Milan Fashion Week, Donatella Versace brought Jennifer to shut down the week in a similar dress.
The 2019 version of the Versace dress as seen on Jennifer Lopez also features a plunging, deep-V neckline and is covered in the recognizable tropical leaf pattern.
Besides taking us back in time, the 50-year-old actress and singer broke the internet again with the Versace dress.
For the collection, Versace started with fitted black dresses paired with gladiator sandals adorned with signature Versace detailing. Embellished sequin dresses, vibrant tropical prints, oversized shoulder pads, bustiers with cutout details that accentuate the chest area and super short hemlines all made a part of the collection.
The collection also gave a nod to Versace’s roots, as the original logo – the head of Medusa – appeared regularly on the front of tees and was splattered with neon tie-dye, sequins, metallic tassels and more.
From the SS20 collection unveiled, we can tell that the 2020 Versace woman is unrestrained in her sexiness, modern and sophisticated all at once.
