2018 is definitely the year of Reality TV! A new reality TV is set to hit our screens soon and it is titled ‘Celebrity Housemates’. The reality TV will have 12 contestants who are celebrities in their own right. They will be in one house for one month where they will be placed on series of daily challenges and tasks. The show which is set to start from January 12th – February 11th, 2018, will have viewers voting for their favourite celebrity every week and the contestant with the lowest votes will be evicted by the weekend with a party in the house to celebrate the end of the week.
The 30 days show will be streamed live on all scheduled online media platforms for 24 hours with a one-hour daily show on national terrestrial TV and cable stations. The last man standing will go home with a cash prize of N7million with N2million to be donated to two charity homes by the winner while they get to keep N5million. The best part is – everyone will win something including the viewers.
According to the organizers of the show,
“The Celebrity Housemates Reality TV show themed, ‘Convergence of Culture, Lifestyle & Entertainment’, is geared towards promoting peace and unity in the country, the celebrity contestants are drawn from all the 6 geographical zones in Nigeria and also bridge the negative perception of our nation and showcase our strengths”.
The celebrities participating in the maiden edition of the show are – Jaywon, Yomi Fash Lanso, Funky Mallam, Doris Simeon, Ruggedman, Muma Gee, Ada Ameh, Chelsea Eze, Eniola Badmus, Junior Pope, Ogenna Ekwubiri and Frederick Leonard.
