He also raps about having insiders connected to Drake’s lifestyle who are against him. The title “6:16 in LA” might refer to the start date of the OJ Simpson trial, Father’s Day, or Tupac’s birthday, adding layers of meaning. Some people also think it connects to a Bible verse about betrayal, hinting at deep treachery.

2. Afrobeats veterans D’banj and Don Jazzy reunite

Famous Nigerian musicians, Dapo ‘D’banj’ Oyebanjo and Michael Collins Ajereh, who is better known as Don Jazzy, have excited their fans by coming together once again. The pair, who started Mo’ Hits Records together but went their separate ways after a big disagreement, have been spotted together. They began mending their friendship at a friend’s wedding in 2021, which was an important step for them.

On May 2, D’banj and Don Jazzy shared pictures of their latest meeting on Instagram, where they are seen smiling and fist bumping. Another picture shows them with Don Jazzy’s father, known as Mavin Grandpa. In his Instagram post, D’banj wrote a touching message, saying his relationship with Don Jazzy is like that of brothers, and thanked him and “Mavin Grandpa” for their support since they started working together in 2004.

3. Ghanaian Artist Medikal sells out London’s 2,800-capacity arena

Ghanaian rapper Medikal has reached a significant milestone in his music career by selling out his first headline show in the UK at the 2,800-seat O2 Indigo venue in London on May 3. This is the first time a Ghanaian musician has completely filled this famous arena. Now, nearly 30 years later, her first name will be included in the French dictionary Petit Larousse Illustré as a proper noun, described as “American singer of R&B and pop.” Beyoncé isn’t the only celebrity to receive this honor; basketball star LeBron James will also be added. These additions to the dictionary are meant to highlight significant trends and movements of the year, according to Carine Girac-Marinier, who leads the dictionary team at Larousse.

5. Will Ferrell buys major stake in Leeds

Hollywood actor Will Ferrell has bought a significant portion of Leeds United Football Club after becoming a big fan of English soccer. He follows celebrities like Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who invested in Wrexham by putting a lot of money into Leeds’ ownership group, 49ers Enterprises. Ferrell, who is now a keen supporter of Leeds, plans to watch games at their stadium, Elland Road, soon.

The 49ers, based in San Francisco, took over Leeds last June, and Ferrell will soon be announced as a major new investor. Per the media, “Will Ferrell now owns part of Leeds. The 49ers will share more about this soon, and he’s excited to add some excitement to the club. He loves soccer and is really struck by the intense passion of the English fans. He wants to help Leeds return to the Premier League. For Will and the 49ers, this is a big investment opportunity.”
