Lagos Lately: See The Simplistic Looks Spotted On Nigerian Style Stars

A

ccording to Ray Mancini, “The advanced level is mastery of the basics”. From the look of things, Lasgidi fashionistas have mastered the art of style, spinning the basics to create stellar looks we can’t ignore. Working in tandem with their glam team, the serial slayers have shown that a fluke doesn’t exist in their books. Dressing up for product launches, swaying into speaking engagements, and simply posing for the Gram are a few opportunities that serve themselves for the style stars to deliver outfits that set the tone.

This week’s lineup is geared towards safe takes, with simple dresses, subtle colors, and weather-compliant outfits at the helm of affairs. The stars chose fits that reckoned with personal style while tending to the unique occasions. The unpretentiousness of the outfits never clocked out the sophistication of each coordination. The week is half spent, and these looks are great options to anchor your boss-chic status at work or make a good impression on that first date.

Check out how Lasgidi fashionistas pulled out all the stops…

#1. Bimbo Ademoye

These past days, the rains have come to interrupt the heat, and great is the relief. Hence the reason why this cozy fit on Bimbo Ademoye should be considered. Featuring a cool sweater styled with a midi slip skirt and black boots, the offering is an easy way to rebuff the chills while staying fashionably in tune. For an extra razzle-dazzle, she threw in a Louis Vuitton mini purse and oversized sunglasses.

#2. Diane Russet

For the Tecno Mobile Camon 30 series launch, ex-BB Naija housemate Diane Russet slayed in a rosette-adorned Ann Usman dress. The sleeveless frock fit her like a glove, the hue complemented her skin tone, and the shimmering details made it worthy for a glamorous night out. What’s a night out in Lagos without blinged-up accessories? She finished the rendering with a silver purse and embellished pumps.

#3. Lola OJ

Bob hairstyles with bangs have a special effect they bring. They work for almost every face shape and elevate any fashion coordination. Lola OJ attended a show, “Conversations with Bola,” in London, wearing a print kimono with jeans and blue pumps, with her bob putting in a good amount of work.

#4. Nonye Udeogu

Wearing a white dress and accessorizing with touches of silver brings magic to any coordination. Nonye Udeogu proved this in a neatly tailored white dress, a structured silver mini bag, strappy sandals, and dainty jewelry that delivered. The combination, when styled with poise, looks even more expensive.

Soft pink tones are in season. Tomike Adeoye wore a bebeO pink maxi dress on the Gram. She leaned into subtlety with dainty jewelry and a soft face beat. Adopting the matchy-matchy trend, she matched her eyeshadow with the dress but kept things simple. The dress was the star of the moment, with its deep neckline, snatched waistline, and color intertwining to exude a womanly aura.

#6. Hilda Baci

It’s midweek, and layering a form-fitting midi dress on a collared white shirt is still in the books. Honoring her TEDx engagement at Covenant University, Hilda Baci wore this bebeO outfit with cornrows and PVC pumps. If your shirt’s collar isn’t embellished, clip on a brooch for the same effect. Style your hair into a bun to ensure the shirt’s neckline is in full view.

#7. Veronica Odeka

On a simple casual evening, rocking a mini Ankara set will be a convenient option. From a resort getup that vibes with the Black Girl Luxury theme to a practical offering for a karaoke evening with friends, tailored mini prints always understand the assignment. Veronica Odeka wore a Vane Style outfit with relaxed slippers that made a case for effortlessness. The blunt-cut hairstyle and oversized sunglasses gave the look its required oomph.
