The Most Rave-worthy Looks On Women Across Africa – Week Of March 16th

Whether we know it or not, a part of our lives revolves around our favourite style stars. It’s an open secret that we feel excitement every time our Instagram feed is blessed with looks from the ones whose style we admire. It’s especially interesting when this style serving isn’t restricted but versatile enough for us to be motivated by it.

So versatility is something we can clearly focus on here. Last week, some of our favourite celebrities and style stars women across Africa were out wearing the right attitude thanks to their looks. However, given that there were so many to select from, we decided to select only finely tailored and vibrant outfits that are uniquely inspiring in their design or styling.

Here are the most rave-worthy looks on women across Africa for the week ending March 16…

Toke Makinwa

Here comes Toke Makinwa, Nigeria’s most pronounced style star starting a full-on movement with her look from Style Temple. This is yet another example of why the starlet is on her way to being an icon.

Dunnieo

Almost every girl loves sparkle and Nigerian producer, visual artist and muralist, Dunnie pulls off a minimalist-designed sparkly jumpsuit that is such a charm – anyone and their fashionable aunt can wear it.

Kefilwe Mabote

Obsessing about animal prints is something that wouldn’t fade out easily. In our obsession with the print, we stumbled on how South African stylist Kefilwe Mabote served fun-tastic animal print style on a platter of noir.

Lisa Folawiyo

Nigerian fashion designer, Lisa Folawiyo might be an unconventional Style maven Raven but even she has her moments where her style becomes a little more relatable. This is one of those times as she’s a delight in this laced-out printastic ensemble.

Bolanle Olukanni

This look says minimalist at the top and party at the bottom. Nigeria’s Bolanle Olukanni’s red dress is such a catch. The handkerchief hemline is what makes the dress so attractive.

Amanda Du Pont

The addition of a print headwrap is the exact enhancement this ensemble needed to become rave-worthy. South African actress, Amanda Du Pont’s look proves that you can win even when you step out of your comfort zone.

Loyole Oyatogun

Nigerian media personality and host, Layole Oyatogun stepped out for the ‘She Is’ movie premiere looking like a vision in black and gold. This outfit was totally unpredictable, totally memorable and totally inspiring!

Serwaa Amihere

Ghanaian news anchor, Serwaa Amihere may be a department away from the other looks here but her African Print style is crafted to give her a playful edge without coming off conspicuous.

Lilian Afegbai

If you’ve ever doubted the ‘fun-ness’ of prints, just take a look at Nigerian actress Lilian Afegbai’s fantastic pineapple print. The fabric plus the style are memorable and do not come off as overkill.

Enhle Mbali Maphumulo

South Africa’s Enhle Mbali is on to something with this ensemble. The look is not over the top but the way it has been combined gives it an aesthetically pleasing finish. The best part? It’s one of the easiest styles to recreate on this list.
