The Sun Met is one of South Africa’s most prestigious horse-racing event. This year they collaborated with G.H Mumm to hold the 134th edition which brought together racing and fashion enthusiasts to celebrate the thrill of Africa’s Richest Race Day. The event which took place on Saturday afternoon at the Kenilworth Racecourse, in Cape Town, saw the stars come out to play, network and have fun.
The race day was a chance for South Africa’s finest to show off their fashion prowess; from gorgeous frilly dresses to cultural themed pieces, the celebrities definitely had a swell time watching the game and enjoying the chance to shine and play dress up. The Sun Met theme was ‘Style Ahead of the Field’ and you could see from the looks below that the attendees tried to pull off trendy pieces, eye-popping accessories, neutral tones and of course make a fashion statement.
