Move Over Ladies, More Men are Rocking Hair Extensions | Men’s Faux Locs

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]s an actor I play different characters and sometimes they require different looks and hair styles. Also when I’m off set I like to reinvent myself. For instance, I wore a bald clean-shaven haircut for a few years not because I was going bald but because it required no maintenance. Recently, I desired to rock a more sexy/up-to-date hairstyle so I opted to get dreadlocks…but who is going to wait two years for their hair to grow out to suitable length? Definitely not me. So I decided to find a shortcut to lengthy dreadlocks and that’s how I got introduced to faux locs.
Just like it is for women, a man’s hairline is precious to him because without it swag levels can really plummet. Men with balding hair and now even those who have been used to rocking just a low-cut fade are longing for the look of longer hair. And very few are willing to persevere through the hair growth journey. So don’t be surprised to learn that many men are now rocking hair extensions. From extra long to super short and everything in between, hair extensions are helping create a modern and sexy look for the men who are bold enough to go for it. I too, like many celebrities, athletes and music stars have joined the bandwagon of men with hair extensions.
Since most men dislike overly fancy styles, sticking to classy extension patterns is the preferred look. Neatly braided cornrows running vertically off the forehead is for the more conservative man while styles like box braids up in a bun, a Samoa-inspired fancy braided look seem more appealing to other men.
Twists are fun and considered manlier than braids and offer a classy pattern that is alternative to braids. Twists give that cool, calm feeling of being in between trendy and edgy. A twisted hairstyle held in a ponytail and worn neatly over the shoulders is also another look to consider.
Dreadlocks have always managed to intrigue many due to its unique beauty. It is such a versatile hairstyle that there is probably no single right way to wear it as this solely depends on individual style. Dreadlock styles for men run the gamut of styling possibilities – a messy or more formal ponytail, a rushed braid, a low ponytail, scattered over the shoulders, or top of the back. The dreaded look is super flattering and a cool look on men of all races.
No matter what hairstyle a man chooses to wear, his hair should be clean and well-groomed at all times. If you’re ready for some adventure, try men’s hair extensions and enjoy being conservative or edgy or versatile. Unleash the Samson in you!
