Ibukun Awosika

Ibukun Awosika is, by every definition of the word, a true trailblazer! She’s the Chairman, Board of Directors, First Bank of Nigeria Limited. Awosika is also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Chair Centre Group of Companies and chairs various corporate and non-profit boards amongst many other achievements.

As the Chairman of “Nigeria’s premier and most valuable banking brand,” Ibukun Awosika is heavily responsible for building on the bank’s strong history of impeccable banking services and helping it overcome emerging hurdles to remain competitive in a rapidly changing sector.

In response to her desire to give back much of what she’s learned to society, Awosika co-founded women in Business, Management, and Public Service (WIMBIZ), a support organization that seeks to empower women to succeed in the related industries.

Here she speaks to young entrepreneurs at Brand Identity Global (BIG), a business-focused conference powered by First Bank. The bank created the BIG conference to help business owners, especially small businesses and new entrepreneurs, enrich their knowledge about branding on an international level.
