House of Jahdara recently released its Spring/Summer 2018 collection featuring a luxurious earth-toned palette combination. Titled ‘Melanin,’ the eye-catching brown and nude tones and the solid print colour-blocking design technique help keep attention glued to the collection.
House Of Jahdara relies on the aesthetic that every woman should retain her sexiness while dressing elegant and classy was definitely celebrated in the styling direction of this lookbook.
The House of Jahdara Creative Director, Adesola Adepoju had this to say:
“This collection is so dear to my heart. Celebrating all skin shades in beautiful structural pieces in diverse style and cuts for everybody. Overtime, I’ve heard people say “Oh wow! she is beautiful for a girl that is dark skinned. (But) Every skin tone is beautiful!”
The House of Jahdara melanin collection which focused on brown and nudes featured asymmetric cuts, a play on fabric arrangements, volume and cutouts in the right places. Every woman in the corporate world would be pleased to have one or two pieces from this collection.
