While we anticipate the upcoming collections for Spring 2017, award-winning contemporary minimalist fashion label T.I Nathan has released a new collection titled “LACEY” for its Resort 2016 offering. The brand introduces two notable fast rising names on the Nigerian fashion scene; makeup artist and beautician, Laila Rahman of Leylarh Cadne and emerging fashion muse signed to Beth Models Africa & ICE Models in South Africa, Seun Logan as the faces and inspiration behind the collection that revolves around their personalities.
According to the label’s creative director, Temitayo Ilesanmi Nathan:

Maintaining its penchant for an off-white palette, T.I Nathan introduces Mustard Yellow – one of 2015’s most desirable colors in Nigeria into its design scheme for 2016 and the possible communication between both dominant colours. While the personality of the “Lacey” person is carefully crafted and infused into each piece using design, texture, styling and fabric blocking, T. I. Nathan’s well-tailored, well presented and retail worthy collection personifies the surface meaning of his core inspiration; “one who loves to have fun; whose feelings are hard to understand; is very discerning; falls in love easily; possesses a great body and is often complimented by the opposite sex.”
It’s quite easy to see that T.I Nathan’s take on resort is very relaxed and very relatable. Most importantly, we see his stated inspiration on his garments.
