Just when we think her career possibly can’t get any more successful, Cardi B shows us that there is still enough space for her to shine! The rap sensation may have just recently added fashion icon to her growing buzz with her appearances at the fashion weeks- something that got a lot of fashion editors (myself included) talking.
Cardi B’s time in Paris has solidified her as a must-see during any fashion week moving forward. The rapper, who’s been plagued by allegations of physical assault in recent days, started from conquering New York Fashion Week then took her savage slay to Milan Fashion Week.
However, it was the battleground of Paris Fashion Week that she came out the strongest – with looks that showcased her fierceness, femininity and passion. Top celebrity stylist Kollin Carter, was behind most of the star’s fashion week choices, starting from New York Fashion Week, with show-stopping outfits that were mostly straight from the runway, making every fashion lover even the more envious and in love, all at once.
Let us begin with the first outfit that changed the course of her conquest for good. Before strutting down the Etam runway at Paris Fashion Week in a feather embellished lavender Christian Cowan power suit, there was a moment of awe when Cardi B stepped onto the Harper’s Bazaar red carpet in a red Dolce & Gabbana dress with intricate vintage jewellery.
Cardi B has gone on to wear even more amazing outfits, like her animal print ensemble, which she completed with matching furry Dolce & Gabanna glasses for the fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2019 show in Milan. As though being sat front row was not enough hype for the evening, the rapper changed into a pink floral suit by the label and gold strappy sandals to perform on stage.
Not to forget the Michael Costello gown – complete with dramatic hat – she wore for the ETAM show before switching to the feather-adorned lavender suit for performance.
