We are now fully in the festive season! As our spirits are high and we are getting ready for the flurry of activities that come with it, we can’t forget to focus on our fashion choices. One fashion item that is really hot right now is SEQUINS. From shimmery tops and bottoms, pretty shiny dresses and suits, the sequin fabric is covering up all the basics this season and we’re so here for it.

On this post, we’re taking a look at how South African style star Bonang Matheba and other style influencers have proven the best ways to wear sequins this season. You might say it’s a hard thing to pull off sequin looks but trust me when I tell you that after reading through you’ll see things differently.

When it comes to styling sequin looks, keep your accessories to a minimum and make sure the accessory colours match the colour of your sequin. A look like Bonang’s is definitely one that would cause you to stand out.

Chic Ama

If there’s going to be a lot of dancing at the event you would be attending then make sure you have on a sequin dress with fringes just like Chic Ama’s.

Simply Cyn

There’s no rule that says you can’t wear a shimmering outfit when you are going out on a date especially during the festive season. A simple look like Simply Cyn’s would have you feeling quite sexy and fancy.

Marii Pvzz

If your activity happens to be a night out in town, remember to keep it sexy yet classy just as Marii Pvzz has done with her black sequin look which she paired up with nude heels and matching “fanny pack.”

Melissa

This is yet another stunning night time look. Going to a house party? Then you sure want to stand out like Melissa in a trendy animal print-inspired sequin design.
