The celebration of women is not stopping anytime soon. For the April Cover of the American Vogue, the magazine features four incredibly talented women from across the globe including Nollywood darling, Adesua Etomi-Wellington. The four women are part of 14 global superstars being celebrated by Vogue in the cover feature.
The multiple award-winning actress in an interview with Bellanaija revealed that she was shocked to have received a mail from the Vogue team. She showed the mail to Banky W, her husband and they decided to respond. The rest like we can see is history. #NigeriaToTheWorld!
For the cover shoot, photographed by Mikael Jansson, Adesua was allowed to bring her own makeup artist, Tito Ibeleme of T.alamode along with her.
According to Vogue,
“the gathering of these actresses over the course of a long, convivial weekend, however, feels like a sign of a different kind of political and cultural movement. The women who have assembled here live in places like Berlin, Seoul, and Shanghai. They are massively famous in their home countries, and, in many cases, well on their way to that kind of fame in countries we more typically think of as entertainment powerhouses. But bringing them together is not intended to make a statement about crossing over from the periphery to the centre; it is about the new centre, which is everywhere and nowhere at once.”
Asked who she’d most likely kiss on screen, Adesua Etomi-Wellington who was wearing a Toju Foyeh dress, Charlotte Simone stole and Jessie Thomas Jewelry earrings said she would love to kiss Chris Hemsworth and George Clooney. We’re sure Banky wouldn’t mind.
