Rihanna Could Be Venturing Into The Hair Business Next With Fenty Hair

Rihanna Robyn Fenty

She mastered music, makeup, publishing, skincare, lingerie, and high fashion; now, it seems Badgalriri has her eyes set on another enterprise. Barbadian singer and entrepreneur Rihanna has sparked rumors that her Fenty Beauty empire could be expanding soon after filing a trademark under Fenty Hair.

Submitted to the US Patent and Trademark Office earlier this month, the document filed under her company Roraj Trade LLC, if accepted, will cover shampoos, hair care lotions, hair preparation products, color, hair styling, straightening tools, and even hair glitter. Rihanna has yet to make any public statements about the new brand, nor has either of her existing brands but trademark filings, such as the one filed by Rihanna’s company for Fenty Hair on March 3, are almost always indicators of a celebrity’s upcoming ventures.

The Fenty Hair rumors come just weeks after LVMH announced that Rihanna’s luxury women’s wear label – Fenty – was going on hiatus a little over a year after its inception. Both parties indicated that Rihanna would be focusing her efforts on Fenty’s cosmetics and skincare lines and Rihanna’s underwear label Savage x Fenty.

Rihanna recently made history by becoming the first Black woman to own a $1 billion cosmetics company, so expanding into the hair sector seems like a natural next step.

Though details are still under wraps, fans have been speculating on Twitter about the singer expanding into other ventures, including wines and spirits, furniture, toiletries, and more. Yet fans have also been impatiently awaiting new music from Rihanna since she dropped the ANTI album in 2016, as it’s become more apparent that she’s focused on building a fashion and beauty empire.

“I am always working on music, and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it’s gonna come out,” she told Entertainment Tonight back in July of 2020. “And you’re not going to be disappointed when it happens. It’s going to be worth it.”

Look out for updates on this article as soon as we know more about Fenty Hair’s launch date, prices, and product offers.
