Knotless box braids were introduced sometime last year and since then the style has slowly gained popularity among black women. As evident on social media, it has become a huge trend all over the world, and the reason is not far-fetched. This protective hairstyle looks more natural and does not require a high pain tolerance like the traditional box braids.
US-based Nigerian YouTube Vlogger Ronke Raji has shared a knotless box braids tutorial and we immediately fell in love with the golden blonde colour and flexibility of her braids.
Ronke’s hairstylist created the style using the feed-in technique. With this technique, the hairstylist started by braiding her natural hair and then continued by adding tiny bunches of hair extension as she braids the hair to the end. She further twisted the tip of the hair for a curly effect.
To complement her already beautiful hair Ronke Raji created an intense smokey eye look that had me screaming wow! If you want a protective hairstyle that is natural, less pain and would preserve your edges, you should definitely give knotless box braids a try.
